Considered one of Perth’s solid musical exports Nat Ripepi has been performing professionally since 1996. Rich, warm and emotive are a few words to describe this talented singer-songwriter. Nat has been nominated for several WAMI Awards and internationally has enjoyed success in America and Europe.
Nat’s second full length album was to showcase both her intimate songwriting and dynamic acoustic performances.
The typography created for the album had to be raw and personal like the music itself. Handwritten text with smudges and scribbles reflected the songwriting process. Sewn type took its cue from the album title ‘Piece by Piece’. Photographs of Nat and her guitar in various poses told the story of their relationship, on-stage and off. The photos were blended with illustrations to unify the textures of the album.
