The Village is an aged care facility located in Cohuna in Northern Victoria. It offers both respite and permanent care, private rooms with ensuites, lifestyle and activities programs, home cooked meals and 24 hour on-site qualified staff. The Village has been in operation in the district since 1969.
The Village wanted a warm and welcoming logo design which also connected to the environmental surrounds.
The box forest trees grows in abundance on the Gunbower Island which is part of Cohuna’s district. The Village has a creek and many gum trees surrounding it which creates a picturesque landscape. Utilising the flower and leaves of the box forest tree, the logo creates a sense of local identity and life. The colours are bright and contemporary, and the font is complementary to the illustration.
